Located in convenient , exclusive and expensive leafy West London suburb of
Chiswick (6 miles from central London).
Most of the houses Chiswick are of the Victorian and Edwardian period and
are typically priced in the 1 million dollar (US) bracket range.
Very convenient to Heathrow airport and a short simple 30 minute underground
journey to all the major tourist attractions of London and all major
theatres.
Chiswick is famous for its Bedford Park conservation area which is England's
original and most famous 'garden suburb' developed in the late 19th century
by architect Richard Norman Shaw. Being on the west side of the city
Chiswick allows convenient road and rail links to the beautiful countryside
and seaside resorts in Dorset , Devon and Cornwall.
The area is very much in demand in London and is relatively unspoilt by the
excesses of tourism.
WHAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE ?
Basically if you want to stay in London in a decent hotel it will cost you from at least 100 pounds a night. At this price you will not be able to do any self catering and you will always feel that you are in a hotel. If you rent my apartment for about 50 pounds per night (or less) then you will have your own kitchen will full catering facilities and the opportunity to feel more at home. My apartments are a bit smallish but clean and recently refurbished. Their biggest asset is location.

HOW TO GET TO MY APARTMENTS
Full Address : Dewsbury Court, Chiswick Road, Chiswick, London W4 5RA.
Landmarks if not arriving by tube/underground.
Chiswick High Road should be known by any cab driver. The junction of Acton Lane & Chiswick High Road is one minutes walk from the apartment. Please do not confuse Chiswick High Road and Chiswick Road.
Sainsbury's Supermarket (car entrance) in Chiswick is less than a 1 minute walk from apartment.
1. By Tube (i.e. underground or subway).
The tube is the lifeline of London trasnsport and has almost 300 stations throughout the city. The Chiswick Park station on the "district" line is the closest station to the apartment. It is only 2 minutes walk away ! District line trains have a frequency of between 5 and 15 minutes (app.) depending on the time of the day. Please note the the district line splits in 2 just before Chiswick Park and my apartment is on the side of the line that is ultimately heading for Ealing Broadway. There is a large scale street map in the station on which "Chiswick Road" is clearly visible. Outside the exit of the station there is a pedestrian crossing (large white lines on the road). Cross the road here and keep an eye out for the Mongolian Bar-B-Que restaurant or the entrance to Sainsbury's car park. Do NOT go under a bridge as this means that you are going the wrong way !
The apartments are on the small one way street that at the corner occupied by this restaurant.
2. From Heathrow airport by tube.
Get the Picadilly line which is in the airport and take it to "Acton Town". This should take about half an hour. Change at Acton town onto the District line and go one stop to Chiswick Park.
3. By Road from Heathrow Airport
A cab from the airport will cost about 25. Depending on the time of day of your journey , it should take between 25 minutes and 50 minutes by cab to the apartment.
For about 4 you can buy an A-Z in almost any news agents. This is the indexed road map that all Londoners swear by. It also may be more useful than taking instruction from me , as I have a notoriously bad sense of direction !
The main motorway from the airport is the M4. You should take this heading east into London. Chiswick is about half a mile or so from the end of the motorway. Keep going straight when you get off the motorway until you reach Chiswick High Road and watch out on the left for a small one way street called Chiswick Road. The apartment is on the left at the end of this road here.
WHAT ABOUT PHONE CALLS ?
Number 40 has a phone number - 44+181+9879661.
Number 26 has a phone number - 44+181+9943637.
Incoming calls are free.
If you wish to make out going calls you can buy a 'card' from local shops for units of 5. This will enable you to make calls from the apartment by keying in the code on the card. Calls to the USA are very could value and apparently cost only 5p per minute. (I.e. 20 minute call would cost one pound). If requested I can arrange to supply a 5 card for you upon your arrival.
If you require more simple outgoing calls then please enquire.
